I’ve lost 6lbs in 2 weeks. Just by cutting out junk food and eating more fruits and veggies. You guys can do this =)
so, here’s today (i’ll be updating periodically through the day)
breakfast - oatmeal with raisens and cinnamon and a glass of soy milk
i find that i actually like soy milk over cow-juice. who knew?! i use to buy the chocolate soy milk or even the very vanilla soy. but, soy milk is actually pretty close to milk just a bit sweeter i think.
i’ve decided to commit to being a vegetarian. i’m pretty certain that i can’t give up fish..but i’ll only eat it on special occasions. like sushi. =) i’ve been doing great for the most part without other meat. i’ll even try to keep dairy to a minimum til i can find soy substitutes that i like and aren’t overly expensive.
took a week off because my foot has been bothering me again..but that’s okay, back on track today. still, i’ve been eating well and that’s still a plus. i’ve lost a total of 13 lbs so far and i’m very happy about this.my sleep schedule on the other hand is off. i haven’t been sleeping well, which means, i come home and nap which throws off my sleep to start with.
today’s plan is to first eat something because my stomach is yelling at me, then its work out, lay out and work on my tan, maybe finish my book, and then keep myself awake so i can get my sleep back in order. but i wanted to check in with you guys first.
now, i think i’ll have some sauteed squash and zucchini. steve’s parents sent me a bunch of it..i might even make zucchini bread later and take some to my co-workers tomorrow so i don’t have to worry about my veggies going bad.
so, i hope everyone is still being healthy and happy and making progress..til later =)
its not quite pay day yet..but, i just had to share the news…
i’ve dropped 10 lbs. apparently money IS a great motivator. only sad part is the first 5lbs don’t count and steve currently owes me 50$ but, i’m hoping if things keep going as well as they have been..i can drop at least another lb or two by friday..i’m not holding my breath though.
here’s what i’ve been doing that’s been helping out quite a bit. no carbs (breads or pastas) after 12pm. no fruits after 4pm and a small serving of protein and as many veggies as i like at dinner time. i eat a 2-3 hours BEFORE i go to bed. i’ve also been eating more nuts..cashews,almonds,peanuts to help get in a little more protein. because i’ve basically quit eating meat. i eat eggs or fish. i can’t stand chicken or red meat of any kind. and i never really liked pork to start with. i can’t say i miss any of these things.
i tried the chocolate mousse recipe i posted and i was pleasantly surprised. its pretty effing tasty. i also got this pomegranate tea that i really love right now. i’m usually not into the pomegranate hype but this stuff is amazing! *sips* also i’ve been drinking soooo much water its crazy. i swear i pee almost every 10 minutes. which is horrible when i’m at work, because i have to do the mission impossible (theme song included) so my boss doesn’t see me running to the potty every so often.
so, yeah, things are going great..and i couldn’t be more excited about the loss of my fat..good-bye fat..its been swell but the swelling’s gone down..hopefully for good!
is a pair of pants that were once tight but now every time you bend over you have to pull them back up over your ass.
eating healthy has finally become a habit for me. i haven’t had take out in forever now, the last soda i drank i ended up sharing with my mom (otherwise known as taking a sip and just handing it back to her) when i took her out for mother’s day. i don’t crave junk. which is an added bonus in my opinion. when i go grocery shopping my basket is filled with mostly fruits and veggies. i don’t need to count calories any more because i’m more aware of whats going into my body, that was a pain in the ass. i make time to work out every day rather than having to find the motivation to get up and do so. im seeing improvements each day and people have started noticing them to.
so to each and everyone one of my followers, please, don’t give up. its hard and it sucks at first, but after a while, it really does get easier and the effort is worth the time and energy you put into it. so keep going..make yourselves proud.
cereal with skim milk for breakfast..
peanut butter banana smoothie for lunch and a wee bit of melon
had the rest of my salad from yesterday, lettuce, two eggs (hard boiled),avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, shredded cheddar and yogurt ranch dressing for dinner.
factor in some green tea, lots of water and exercise and you’ve got yourself a healthy girl =)
so, Steve basically told me that its not true that men have higher metabolisms than woman. even though there is studies claiming otherwise..
so, he told me..that we’d see how hard this really was..
he says i’ll pay you 10 dollars for EVERY pound you lose. easy enough. the first 5lbs don’t count since its mostly water weight and you can generally lose that in a day. i have two goals to meet..first one being 190 and when i reach that, he’ll give me a 100 dollars extra..then, my final goal will be 160. when i reach that he’ll give me another 200 extra.
so i tell him that he best prepare to lighten his wallet and eat his words.
so, if you guys have any tips at all (preferably healthy tips..i’m not going to starve myself) please feel free to inbox me. let’s lose some pounds and gain some dough!
a side note..i lost a couple followers for my last post about banning pro-ana and pro-mia blogs. i have nothing against people who have disorders and i want that known now. i sympathize greatly for the struggles they endure. but i will NOT tolerate people supporting and giving advice on how to starve or purge. if you are not a healthy blog i suggest you do as the others did and just remove me from your follows. and to those of you that are still here..thank you for following me..seeing my numbers climb just helps motivate me to push harder and i appreciate EVERY single one you. =)
